Stutz graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education in sports science from Albion College. He earned a master's degree in athletic training from Western Michigan University and a master's from University of Detroit-Mercy for physician assistants. He is certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academyof Physician Assistants.
