Dr. Toweh specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a branch of medicine that emphasizes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders - particularly related to the nerves, muscles, bones and brain - that may produce temporary or permanent impairment. Dr. Toweh completed an undergraduate degree in physical therapy from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and his second undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Toweh completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Toweh is Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Additionally, he is double licensed in Physical Therapy and also trained in Medical Acupuncture. He joined Oaklawn Hospital and Oaklawn Medical Group in October 2012.
