Joint Commision Notice

The Joint Commission conducts unannounced accreditation surveys of Oaklawn Hospital to determine compliance with standards established on a national basis. Accreditation is awarded based on survey results.

Oaklawn Hospital provides notices to its public that when an individual has any concerns about patient care and safety in the hospital, that the hospital has not addressed, he or she is encouraged to contact the hospital’s management. If the concerns cannot be resolved through the hospital, the individual is to be encouraged by the hospital to contact the Joint Commission.

The public may contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concerns or register complaints about a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization by either calling 1(800) 994-6610 or e-mailing complaint@jointcommission.org.
