For 85 years Oaklawn Hospital’s sole purpose has been to provide ever improving healthcare for you
and your loved ones. We recently broke ground on a new 43,540 square-foot surgical wing to meet a
growing demand for operating capacity. The wing will have new, enlarged surgery rooms and replace the current curtained-off  pre-op and recovery areas with separate private rooms. A new front entrance will be canopy-covered with easier barrier-free access.
Increasing our surgical capacity and providing state-of-the-art operating rooms will improve the quality of care for our patients and also make us a more desirable work place for physicians and staff that we recruit. We project the increased surgical capacity will result in an additional 20 jobs at the hospital and Oaklawn will be better positioned to provide the highest level of care well into the future.
