Oaklawn Medical Group – Beadle Lake is located at 14231 Beadle Lake Road in Emmett Township, southeast of Battle Creek, and is home to two primary care physicians.
Roger S. Kilbourn, D.O. is board certified in Family Practice. As a D.O. he is also trained and experienced in spinal adjustments. Originally from Oregon, Dr. Kilbourn earned his bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University. He attended medical school at Michigan State University, receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. Dr. Kilbourn remained in the Lansing area for five years, doing a psychiatric internship at Sparrow Hospital and a family medicine residency at Ingham Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Kilbourn comes to Oaklawn from Flushing, Michigan where he’s worked as a Family Practice specialist. He now lives in Marshall with his wife Gail and their three sons, Joshua (9), Jacob (7), and Matthew (2).
Dr. Stephen Durant, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine, focusing on primary care for adults 18 years and older. A native of Lansing, Dr. Durant achieved both his bachelors and medical degree from Michigan State University before heading to San Antonio and Lackland Air Force Base for a three-year residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Following his residency Dr. Durant worked as a staff internist at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona for four years and continued to practice in Arizona upon leaving the Air Force.
Dr. Durant and his wife, Carrie, are pleased to be back in their home state of Michigan and close to family. The Durants have a 16-year-old son, Michael, and a 12-year-old daughter, Natalie.
Dr. Eric Ebner is a long-time Marshall resident, having practiced privately in Marshall from 1982-2005 before taking a position with Family Health Center of Battle Creek.
Dr. Ebner received his Bachelor's from Cornell University and a Master's in microbiology from Montana State University before attending medical school at the University of Minnesota. He came to Michigan to do an OB/GYN residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, then moved to Marshall to begin private practice.
