POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  Graduate of Accredited College of Pharmacy and current Michigan licensure along with experience in acute care hospital setting.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Insure a safe and effective use of medications within the hospital setting.  With the following activities being components of this position, which enhance patient care:

Open communication with other clinicians involved with patient care; Direct review of medications as they specifically relate to the patient; Necessary monitoring of specific medications that may enhance therapy or ensure safety concerns; Ability to respond to Drug Information issues as presented from other clinicians; Lead role in educational opportunities of clinicians and Pharmacy Students; Participation in hospital communities that enhance patient care; Appropriate documentation of activities that enhance patient care; High level of use of technology involved with patient care; Basic knowledge about medications, their pharmacology and dosage ranges for use    in neonates, adolescent, and adult and geriatric patients; Appropriate experience in preparation and management of chemotherapy regimens.
