Members of the Oaklawn Hospital Auxiliary are gearing up for two entertaining events that will be available to the public this month.
The first is the auxiliary’s inaugural Gourmet Fudge and Chocolate Sale, to be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in anticipation of “Sweetest Day,” which is to be observed nationally the following day.
The sale will be conducted in the front lobby of Oaklawn Hospital at 200 N. Madison St.
Items for sale will include fudge, chocolate-covered pretzels, caramel “turtles,” English toffee and other confections. The treats will be available in bulk or in individual gift packages.
The second event will be the auxiliary’s annual Fall Bunco Party, which will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22.
The public is invited to attend the party at the Fredonia Township Hall, 8803 U.S. 27 S., at the intersection of U.S. 27 South and F Drive South. The admission fee is $10.
Light refreshments and beverages will be provided at the party, which will feature door prizes, Bunco prizes and a 50-50 drawing.
Both events are being held to raise money to support the Auxiliary and its programs to benefit Oaklawn Hospital and its patients.
